Come rain or shine the coaches are here most evenings and weekends. It is a wonderful sight to watch a coach enthusiastically impart their years of experience and wisdom to the athletes.
Most coaching staff give up their time for free, they do it for the love of the sport and they enjoy seeing their athletes succeed. Many of the of the coaches that are based at Norman Park Track are from the famous Blackheath and Bromley Harriers Athletics club, which has seen Olympic medallists, European Cross Country competitors, marathon runners and Commonwealth stars, all of whom at some point in their careers have trained or competed at Norman Park.
John Blackie, the coach of European champion Dina Asher-Smith has trained many successful athletes at Norman Park. The experienced coaches and incredibly knowledgeable track staff are always on hand to point you in the right direction.
