Following the government announcement made yesterday 22nd Feb 2021, we are hopeful of re-opening the track on the 29th March. Once again under severe restrictions and very limited controlled numbers only will be allowed. Please read the extract from the government website:
The evidence shows that it is safer for people to meet outdoors rather than indoors. And this is why from 29 March, when most schools start to break up for the Easter holidays, outdoor gatherings (including in private gardens) of either 6 people (the Rule of 6) or 2 households will also be allowed, making it easier for friends and families to meet outside.
Outdoor sports facilities such as tennis and basketball courts, and open-air swimming pools, will also be allowed to reopen, and people will be able to take part in formally organised outdoor sports.
We will update much nearer the time how you will be able to book sessions to enter the track, I do not think that casual roll up usage will be allowed for a good while yet.
In the meantime throughout March PLEASE PLEASE do not enter the track for any reason what so ever, the toilets are not accessible, the track is CLOSED! If a member of staff is onsite or arrives onsite then please leave immediately when asked to do so. Any individual found using the track could face a substantial fine, the police are regularly patrolling the area!
We are desperate to open and see the track being used again, we do however have to be responsible and follow the government guidelines to beat this virus and save lives.
